Position Description:
We are seeking a self-motivated Head of Human Resources to join a truly passionate organisation in the banking sector whose success is driven by its focus on excellence, innovation and providing a first class customer experience. Your proven HR experience coupled with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude will allow you to add real value in this dynamic and successful business. You will be involved across a very wide spectrum of daily responsibilities and support the growth of the business through:
· implementation and development of HR policies and procedures
· advising on employment law matters and managing any employee relations casework
· providing proactive training expertise and assistance to all training initiatives ranging from technical training to soft skills and leadership training
· management of the outsourced weekly and monthly payroll process
· preparing Human Resources Information System reports for review by the Management
· executing the performance management system that is already in place
· reviewing and monitoring progress against the HR action and objectives and ensuring that staff and budget resources are appropriately allocated and deployed.
· managing and leading on HR projects and initiatives ensuring that implementation is achieved on time and in budget.
The ideal candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
· Possess an MBA from a recognised institution
· Possess a strong, proven and extensive track record spanning 5 years of supervising a significant HR function with demonstrable success in meeting exceptionally high standards in the banking sector
· Experience of developing and implementing HR strategy aligned to organisational objectives and enabling effective organisational performance
· Possess up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
· The ability to manage, and drive through, organisational change effectively, gaining buy-in and engagement
· Demonstrable high levels of organisational skills, with ability to priorities and meet tight deadlines with keen attention to detail.
· Ability to influence and motivate people, maintaining strong relationships with employees at all levels
· Resilient individual with ability to think pragmatically and logically
· Strong ambition with an innovative approach to HR
· Capable of building strong relationships with both internal and external clients
Possess a "can do", positive attitude and approach to problem solving
